Vora Jean Watkins, 89, of Indianapolis, passed away on September 16, 2011. She was born to Emerson and Josephine Green. After graduating from Arsenal Technical High School, she attended Butler University. She married Henry Watkins in 1940. Both she and Henry were active members of Northminster Presbyterian Church, singing in the choir and volunteering for various activities. Vora Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother, Robert L. Green, and her grandson, Scott Logan. She is survived by her children, Linda Logan (Bill), Marcia Howard (Rick), David Watkins (Denise); her grandchildren Eric Logan (Dai), Ed Logan (Katie), Julie Tompkins (Tony), Keith Howard (Alejandra), Kristen Howard-Gaites (Jeff), and Adam Watkins; and her eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Harry W. Moore Funeral Home, 8151 Allisonville Road, on Thursday, September 22, 2011, from 4-8 p.m., and Friday, September 23, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. preceding the funeral service at Noon.
